day 341 : my masterpiece!

Day 341: Ok I know this has been a lot of more than one photo in a row days (I’m indecisive what can I say?) but today I have an excuse because I finally finished my newest model! This thing’s a beast, 3feet by 3feet, but it’s quite lovely (if I do say so myself). Here’s the overall shot (below) and a little detail (above) And yes, I did score brick pattern into the basswood. I’m crazy like that 🙂

day 340 : it’s alive (again)

Day 340: I already had a wedding and portrait blog up and running but I was tired of it so I went for an upgrade and switched over to a self-hosted wordpress blog. I am so excited about it and can’t wait to put the last couple of changes into it to make it just so. If you want a sneak peak it’s at katyregnier.com/news

day 335 : ho scale

day 335: All throughout architecture school we always thought it was funny that they sold little ho scale people at model train stores (where we would buy model building supplies). I was out at the model train store on Thursday getting trees for my mega-model and saw these, which are hilarious! Who’s putting a wedding bouquet toss into their model train setup? So weird!

day 332 : we really need to do this

day 332: Ben and I have officially realized that our new dog is going to require some training… his reaction when we come home after being out of the house for a couple of hours is to jump up on his hind legs and literally hug us with his front paws … not letting go and jumping back up again if we put his feet back on the ground. It’s nice to know you’ve been missed, but I don’t think our guests will really appreciate the enthusiasm. Doggy training here we come!
