I think that this is going to go down in history as the fastest year ever. Or maybe it just seems like that to me because I have so many things going on? In any case the end of the month sneaks up on me every single month and I can’t believe that I’m more than a third of the way through my daily sky project. I know I still have 8 more months to go but I honestly can’t see myself ever going back to life without these daily pauses to glance upward. They do a surprisingly good job of bringing me peace and increasing my zen quotient. If you haven’t been following along, you can find all of the daily sky goodness in real time over on instagram – @katyregnier and the sky posts are tagged #365daysofsky.
This post is a part of a series of daily sky images. One image a day for the entire year. If you missed the other posts you can find them right here – January, February and March.
Have you been following along with my #365daysofsky project on instagram? Another month has gone by and it’s time for the recap collage. I am completely hopelessly impatient with a lot of things in my life – and as of right now the thing I’m most looking forward to seeing is this entire year in one giant grid. The big nerd in me just can’t wait! For now here’s just a snippet – one from each day in March.
This post is the third in a set of monthly recaps of my instagram daily sky series. If you missed the earlier months, don’t forget to check out January and February.
March already! I can’t believe how fast this year is already flying by. Maybe it’s the fact that it was in the 80s today or maybe it’s all of the blossoms on our fruit trees in the backyard, but I feel like we have fast-forwarded squarely into the middle of spring (maybe even summer?)
I was a little bit worried when I started my #365daysofsky project on instagram that I’d have trouble taking a photo every single day without repeating myself, but it seems as thought I needn’t have worried. Even on bright blue days there’s always a sunset, and it’s fun to find new ways to frame the sky. It’s such an amazing thing, isn’t it? It’s always in motion and the clouds on one day are never the same as the next. I’ve found that with the exception of extremely rainy days (where it’s hard to get outside without getting my iphone all wet) there really hasn’t been a single day that I wasn’t excited to go out and see what the sky had in store for me.
So without further ado, here is the collection of all of my February sky shots – I don’t put them together until the very end of the month so seeing them all in one spot is a fun surprise. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of our beautiful California skies.
This post is the second in a set of monthly recaps of my instagram daily sky series. If you missed the first month, check out January skies right here.
Have you joined instagram yet? I’m such an addict, I just love being able to document everyday life with my phone and share it with friends and family in a blink. I still love my “real” cameras too, but instagram is such a different animal all together, and one I can’t seem to leave home without bringing along.
I absolutely love taking pictures of the sky, but was feeling a bit silly posting them all the time to instagram without a good reason (does anyone ever really need a good reason to instagram?) So at the beginning of the year I decided to dedicate a project 365 (one photo a day for a year) to the sky. That way I get to take and post a sky photo every day guilt-free. Because it can’t be insta-spam if it’s for a project 365, right?
Here is the first month, all wrapped up in a pretty little collage. I can’t wait to have the whole year in one place, it’s going to be so cool!
